Advanced Diamond Technology
Clarity Diamond’s cutting-edge technology produces diamonds through a patented process, allowing precision-controlled growth that maximises quality and sparkle.
How are lab diamonds grown?
Using the CVD (Chemical Vapour Deposition) method, a thin slice of ‘seed’ diamond is placed in a sealed chamber. A carbon-rich gas is then introduced and transformed into plasma through microwave energy, heating it to over 3000 °C. The chemistry created releases carbon atoms that adhere to the diamond seed and replicate it to grow a new stone.
What makes Cupid diamonds special?
Unlike other methods that are often interrupted while the diamond is still growing, Clarity Diamond increases a stone’s quality through slow, uninterrupted growth. This reduces visible inclusions and eliminates the need to apply any treatment or colour enhancement to the diamond after growth.
Single Growth Process
Typical CVD processes grow diamonds in stages to increase efficiency and output; however, this can negatively impact a stone’s overall quality through what is known as ‘growth layers.’

What are growth layers?
By growing a diamond in stages, growth layers can sometimes appear within the stone where the process was interrupted. As light enters the diamond and reaches a growth layer, a scattering effect occurs, multiplied at each layer as light continues to travel through the diamond. This can severely impact a diamond's sparkle and overall quality.

Due to the method through which most lab-growns are created, they frequently result in poor colour, and many diamond producers prefer to enhance a lab diamond’s colour by treating it after growth.

Dual-Graded GIA & AGS
All diamonds from the Cupid’s Ideal range are graded by the GIA (Gemological Institute of America). Our round diamonds also show an AGS (American Gem Society) light performance grading — a benchmark for diamond quality.

Every Cupid’s Lab-grown diamond has its certification number laser-inscribed. This inscription is not visible to the naked-eye, but assures the diamond you choose is yours and yours only.
